Following the U.S. airstrike that killed former Iranian Major General Qasem Soleimani, hundreds of protesters gathered outside the front steps of Angel Hall this Wednesday for a âNo War On Iranâ demonstration.
The event featured nine speakers, including University of Michigan students and a professor, who spoke out against U.S. imperialism and possible war in Iran.

Described as a âhidden populationâ on campus, reports show that student parents make up more than 1 of every 5 undergraduate students.
Daily Staff Reporter Alice Tracey talked to several student mothers who described their challenges on campus, ranging from finances to transportation, in an effort to advocate for increased resources and support for student parents on campus.
Following the 2018 legalization of adult-use recreational marijuana in Michigan, local businesses discuss the impact of the first sales day, with Ann Arbor having the highest sales numbers of any Michigan city.
Within the first week, marijuana sales have exceeded $1.6 million, generating over a quarter million in tax revenue for the state.
Following 16 years of protests outside the Beth Israel Congregation, the anti-Israel group Witnesses for Peace has been sued.
After more than 800 protests, a Beth Israel Congregation member, Marvin Gerber, motioned to sue the group on Dec. 19, 2019, claiming Witnesses For Peace have demonstrated anti-Semitic rhetoric.
Despite a fast start and halftime lead, Michigan menâs basketball lost to Minnesota on the road this Sunday, 75-67.
Senior guard Zavier Simpson scored 19 points, but Michigan struggled to keep up with Minnesota big man Daniel Oturu, leading to a closely contested loss.
