Big Ten student body presidents demand universities divest from fossil fuels

The University of Michigan Central Student Government passed a resolution demanding that the University freeze all fossil fuel investments and commits to divestment by 2020, according to a statement released Jan. 26.

The resolution was brought up at the Association of Big 10 Students conference in front of student representatives from every Big 10 school.

Trump promotes USMCA at Warren, MI auto plant

This Tuesday, the Wallace House hosted domestic correspondent for the New York Times magazine and creator of the 1619 project, Nikole Hannah-Jones, at Rackham Auditorium.

In the lecture, Hannah-Jones discussed the 1619 project, an ongoing initiative by the New York Times to discuss the history and legacy of slavery in the United States.
