In response to COVID-19, the âUâ announced Wednesday that all face-to-face classes would be cancelled, with online classes beginning March 16 through the end of the semester, April 21.
While University facilities, such as M-Dining and dorm buildings, will remain open, events expecting over 100 attendees will be cancelled, and on-campus sporting events will be limited to parents and members of the press.

In this special edition, the âUâ moves classes to an online format in response to COVID-19, students and faculty react to the spread of COVID-19, and Joe Biden wins the Democratic Primary in Michigan.
After the confirmation of the first two cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Michigan this Tuesday, The Daily reporters Hannah Mackay and Jasmin Lee talked to various faculty and students about their reactions to the spread of the virus.
While many expressed concern about the virus, various faculty members stressed that danger for young people is relatively low.
Despite Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt. win in Michigan during the 2016 presidential Primary election, Former Vice President Joe Biden won the Michigan Primary by more than 10 percentage points this Tuesday.
Michigan has 125 delegates, the largest number of all states voting Tuesday, which includes Mississippi, Missouri, North Dakota, Idaho and Washington, and will be divided proportionally between Biden and Sanders.
In the first major election since the implementation of Proposition 3, which allows same-day voter registration, hundreds waited in line to cast their ballots in the Presidential primaries this Tuesday.
Potential voters waited in line for as long as two hours at Ann Arbor City Hall, the only location to change voter registration.
The Daily reporter Julia Fanzeres analyzed campaign donations in Michigan ahead of the presidential primaries which took place this Tuesday.
According to the Federal Elections Committee, Ann Arbor, Grand Rapids and Detroit had the highest donations totals respectively, with Ann Arbor bringing in just under $500,000 in campaign donations.
