Some 300 volunteers from nearby Father Gabriel Richard High School take up the difficult task of cleaning up Michigan Stadium every week.
Dear subscribers,
Friday, Margaret Atwood visited the University to give a talk that touched on themes of fear and freedom. Saturday, former members of SAE came together to host what was possibly the last Mudbowl. In their homecoming game, Michigan football emerged victorious over Illinois. Our SportsMonday column takes a look at who cleans the Big House. Additionally, don't miss our tribute to former Detroit Free Press columnist and Daily alum Drew Sharp, who passed away last week.
All the best,
The Michigan Daily
More than 1,500 people crammed into the confines of the front yard of the former Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity house on Saturday morning to watch one of the most time-honored fall traditions, for what could be the last time, at the University of Michigan: the 83rd annual Mudbowl.
Author Margaret Atwood walked on stage Friday amid her fervent Ann Arbor fan base while wearing black gloves painted with white bones outlining the skeletal structure of her hands.
Oddly, the creepy style choice seemed to fit.
What would Drew Sharp have written about todayâs game?
Redshirt sophomore quarterback Wilton Speight had one of his best games of the season, going 16-for-23 for 253 yards and two touchdowns.
