Central Student Government launched the University of Michiganâs first ever Mental Health Climate and Resources Task Force, an initiative intended to improve mental health on campus, after CSG President David Schafer, an LSA senior, signed an executive order to implement it at their Tuesday meeting.
The initiative is Schaferâs 11th executive order this semester.

Central Student Government has gathered on the Diag to express solidarity and hear student concerns, and launched a mental health task force to improve the climate surrounding mental health on campus. Michigan hockey is searching for a new identity. For Michigan football, two Bens have joined forced on the left side of the offensive line. The University of Michigan Central Student Government launched a new campaign, âIt Starts With Me,â at an event on the Diag Tuesday. The initiative aims to bring awareness to racism and discrimination on campus.
As part of the event, students were also encouraged to submit feedback to the body about their initiatives and plans this semester.
For the event, representatives from the general assembly, as well as CSG commissions, were posted near Mason Hall with 600 donuts, CSG handouts and a suggestions board for students to write on.
Central Campus Off-Campus Housing Fair
Where: The Michigan Union - Rogel Ballroom (2nd Floor), 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.
The housing fairs are meant to simplify the search for students seeking off-campus housing.
