Regent Larry Deitch (DâBloomfield Hills) is finishing his 24th year on the University of Michigan Board of Regents â and hoping for eight more. As Deitch looks to kick off his campaign for a fourth term, though, he emphasizes the quality of his experience over his resumeâs length.
âPeople who know me know Iâm not a status quo kind of person,â he said. âExperience is invaluable, but itâs not a special knowledge or window. Iâm not going to get too nostalgic.â

In September 2016, Eric Fearon, professor of internal medicine, pathology and human genetics, was named the new director of the University of Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center. In an interview with The Michigan Daily, Fearon laid out a number of goals for the center including continuing multidisciplinary collaboration, recruiting top leaders in the field and increasing initiatives for improving patient cancer care. Â
The Wolverines have reason to believe they will set another school scoring record this year, as they will return their top three scorers.
