Today, we have a break down of the top six seeds in the Midwest Region before the Michigan men's basketball team kicks off their run in the NCAA Tournament. Michigan gubernatorial candidate Abdul El-Sayed discussed his candidacy and platform at the Ford School of Public Policy Monday night. The Michigan women's basketball team was not selected to compete in the NCAA Tournament. University President Mark Schlissel announced a Teach-Out Series on topics ranging from “fake news” to the rise of increasingly authoritarian governments. Finally, President Donald Trump will visit Willow Run Wednesday to address automotive jobs with Detroit auto executives, union officials and workers.

Gubernatorial candidate Abdul El-Sayed speaks to University students on importance of inclusion and diversity of thought

Michigan gubernatorial candidate Abdul El-Sayed discussed his candidacy and platform to more than 150 students and community members at the Ford School of Public Policy Monday night.

The event, hosted by the University of Michigan’s chapter of College Democrats, allowed students to ask questions and hear the story of the 32-year-old University alum and Rhodes scholar.

President Donald Trump will visit Willow Run Wednesday, a former WWII bomber plant in Ypsilanti Township, to address automotive jobs with Detroit auto executives, union officials and workers, according to the Detroit Free Press.
