The weather in New York has been bizarre, ping-ponging from flash four-hour blizzard to sunny 50s, back down into the 30s, up again to the low 60s today, and tomorrow, another record high of near 70.

But I'm sure it has nothing to do with climate change.

Did you know we're running an awesome promotion through February, and there are only eight days left to participate?! Through February 28, purchase a yearly Letters in the Mail subscription or a 6-month Rumpus Book Club subscription and we'll send you your own signed, hardcover copy of An American Marriage by Tayari Jones! Already have a subscription? Just extend or convert it and we'll send you the book! Offer valid while supplies last. Due to shipping costs, this offer is only available for US subscriptions.

Our four subscription programs (Book Club, Poetry Book Club, Letters in the Mail, and Letters for Kids) do heavy lifting when it comes to keeping The Rumpus afloat. You can put yourself in direct communication with your favorite authors and keep The Rumpus running at the same time! Our programs also make wonderful gifts for those bookwork BFFs in your life, young or old.

There is a stubborn patch of snow clinging to a corner of our backyard. I wonder if it will melt today and tomorrow, in these record-high temperatures.

(It's still easy to talk about the weather, isn't it? And what with our country's descent into madness, it's nice to take it easy sometimes.)

Love,
Marisa
