DeerLake Weekly Letter, St. Patrick's Day

There are only two kinds of people, those that are Irish, and those that wish they were Irish in the month of March.

When told the reason for Daylight Saving time the old Indian said, "Only a white man would believe that you could cut a foot off the top of a blanket and sew it to the bottom of a blanket and have a longer blanket."

It's been a busy week around here, it finally stopped snowing and the sun is out. The thaw is what we will be dealing with now. We live up on a hill, so when it thaws, the runoff goes down the middle of the road causing all kinds of problems. Around here our roads are all gravel, so the water and dirt make one big mud pie.

Looking for a nice spot to go during spring break. It's been awhile since my (Becca's) girlfriend and I have gone anywhere. I'm thinking we need to stay pretty close around here. We only have a few days, not long enough to take a good road trip, maybe we should fly somewhere. Where's a fun place for a couple of old-ladies to go?

Can you believe that it's ST Patrick's Day and then Easter the next week. This week we set our clocks forward, don't forget that, and in two week it's Easter already. Wee-haw!
