The desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose
This text from Isaiah 35:1 we would like to pass on to our clients and students at the end of the year 2015.
Lo, how a rose e’er blooming,
From tender stem hath sprung.
Of Jesse's lineage coming,
As men of old have sung;
It came, a floweret bright,
Amid the cold of winter,
When half spent was the night.
O Flower, whose fragrance tender
With sweetness fills the air,
Dispel with glorious splendour
The darkness everywhere;
True man, yet very God,
From Sin and death now save us,
And share our every load.
Shoots emerging from bulbs lead us to think of the carol of old ‘Lo, how a rose e’er blooming’. Jesus Christ became man to give life through death. Therefore only in Him can we find a safe hiding place.
From this understanding we inspire, educate and support teachers and educators. We thank you for your support! We sincerely wish you God’s blessing for the year 2016.
With kind regards,
The Board and Staff of Driestar Christian University
