Dear Reader,
I am extremely excited and honored to share that last night, the Forward took home 43 awards from the American Jewish Press Association's 41th annual Simon Rockower Awards ceremony for work published in 2021.
We had 11 first-place wins, in a range of categories that show our stunning breadth: investigative reporting, news, sports, business, feature writing, personal essays, and stories about women, seniors and Israel news, Here are just a few of my favorites: “How many monuments honor fascists, Nazis and murderers of Jews? You’ll be shocked.” by Lev Golinkin“My abortion story — because it’s true and we should not be afraid to talk about it” by Jodi Rudoren “An oral history of the most epic Jewish summer camp prank ever” by Louis Keene The full list of our winners is here. There's a ton of great stuff to read, and I am so proud of all of our journalists! So, I recommend you bookmark it and would love for you to share the ones you admire with your friends.
The Forward has continued to publish and amplify the independent Jewish journalism you trust — and we're so thankful the American Jewish Press Association recognized our hard work.
On behalf of all of us at the Forward, I hope you'll join us to make our 125th anniversary our most powerful year ever. We couldn’t do it without you. If any of our stories resonate with you, would you consider donating to support our award-winning Jewish journalism today? |
