Dear Friend, Before the gavel even dropped on Monday’s opening Supreme Court session, the latest attacks against the justices were already underway. Ever since President Biden’s Commission on the Supreme Court recommended that the Court be left alone, the attempts to discredit and delegitimize the Court and its justices have been nonstop. And Monday was no different. Once again, the radical Left has ramped up their attacks on the Supreme Court. They continue to politicize the Court, portray the Court as broken, and push their dangerous plan to restructure the Court. They know that if one party wins the House, Senate and the White House in next month’s election, that party’s newly elected members could add as many justices to the Supreme Court as they want. That means the future of the Supreme Court is on the ballot. And you will decide its fate. |
My name is Kelly Shackelford. I am the President, CEO and Chief Counsel of First Liberty Institute. As a constitutional scholar who’s been defending religious freedom for 35 years, I want you to understand how dangerous the current threat to the Supreme Court is. To put it bluntly, this election will determine the immediate future of the Supreme Court and the long-term outlook for our country. For the past six years, the radical Left has had to stand by and watch a Supreme Court follow the Constitution and overturn decades of bad legal precedents. The Court’s decisions protecting the unborn and expressions of faith have derailed their plans. But now, dark money groups are working overtime to convince you that the Court needs to be reformed, reworked and restructured. They understand the power that they can grab if their agenda has your vote. |
That’s why we can’t accept their misinformation about the Supreme Court as truth. If we give them the power to freely add justices to the Court, you and I will lose what we value most — our freedom. The Bill of Rights...our inalienable rights...our most basic freedoms...they are all at stake. But there is hope. You can help stop this brazen power grab. You can impact this election and secure the future of the Supreme Court by doing these four things |
Take the pledge to support an independent judiciary.Find out where your candidates stand on the radical issues of packing and purging the Court.Share what you learn about the candidates and the dangers of court packing with everyone — family, friends and followers on social media.Do your civic duty — Vote! |
It’s time to make all the candidates aware that their constituents need to know the truth about where they stand on preserving the priceless heritage of the Supreme Court. |
We both know...If we lose the court, we lose our country. That’s why it’s time to sound the alarm. We cannot afford for anyone to sit this election out. Will you stand with Supreme Court and protect the freedoms we hold so dear? |
In the fight for faith and freedom together, Kelly
