Job openings hit record 11.5M in March The number of job openings rose to a new record high of 11.5 million in March, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, up from 11.3 million in February and above the previous record of 11.4 million set in December. The number of workers leaving their jobs also reached a new monthly high in March at 4.5 million as the US job market continues a hot streak that has seen more than 400,000 jobs added monthly over the past year.
