Pre-book your spot and get ready to feast like you’re Henry VIII at this family friendly food fest.
Henry VIII knew how to throw a party. While England’s most notorious king is renowned for his six wives, it’s fair to say that he liked to host a feast or two at one of his numerous palaces – including Hampton Court Palace!
Well, this August Bank Holiday (28-30 August), you can channel your inner Tudor at his former home, as it puts on its annual food festival. The palace’s gardens will be home to some delicious street food from the likes of Bayou New Orleans Kitchen and The Little Pasta Company and you can wash it all down with some creative cocktails or freshly brewed craft beer. You can also shop artisanal products to take home, too, with tasty producers including Loxwood Meadworks, JonoKnife and Heritage Cheese.
No party is complete without some entertainment either, and there will be something for all ages. Whether it’s face painting and Shire Horse rides for little ones or the bandstand’s blasting of 70’s disco classics for the older crowd, smiles (and the odd move on the dancefloor) are guaranteed.
