In many parts of the world, this has been another summer of devastating, extreme heat – having a catastrophic impact on the planet and all that lives on it.

Throughout the summer months, my team of environment reporters have been sending dispatches from across the world on how extreme heat impacts everyone and everything, in every corner of the globe: from burning wetlands in the Amazon to agricultural workers picking food in unbearable heat in rich northern-hemisphere countries to wildfires in California, Canada and beyond.
