Kildwick Revolutionizes the Composting Toilet

Years ago when I first talked about composting toilets replacing flush toilets, a reader complained that "no one will want this inside their house. I know this, because I still have a few teeth in my head and a few friends in town." But in the years since, people have come to realize how much drinking water is wasted in flushing and how much of a problem the disposal of our waste is – and also how valuable the phosporus and the fertilizers really are. You can now see composters in office buildings and I have seen them in houses, as people start taking this issue seriously; they may be coming to a bathroom near you soon.
