Madisyn Taylor: Hi Gina. There are a lot of crystal resources available, so what makes your course different?
Gina Spriggs: An important aspect of this course is that I also teach about the different crystal systems. There are seven crystal systems and each refers to a specific geometric lattice. Moving beyond the standard "classic" definitions of crystals, this unique course invites participants to explore each system. The crystal system reflects the microscopic geometric pattern that is the foundation of the crystal. Each geometric pattern carries very specific energy and information. Readers will learn how to "tap into" that energy, so they can develop their intuition, create a personal relationship with crystals, and understand the many ways they can use their current crystals to enhance their well-being.
MT: Why is understanding crystal systems important?
GS: Most crystal experts refer to the color, shape, and, on occasion, the hardness and energetic properties based on when (or how) the crystal was created. I teach about the additional information each of us receives from our crystals. That said, if you and a friend have the exact same challenges, you may find yourselves using different crystals based on the information gained during a crystal communication session. I walk students through a process that encourages awareness of their unique energetic chemistry with the crystal. Through these experiences, students understand why they are attracted to certain crystals at any given time, how to select the perfect crystals for their personal use, and how to experience enhanced intuition.
MT: For readers who don't think they are intuitive at all, what will they get from this course?
GS: First of all, we are all psychic and intuitive! I believe there is a difference between being psychic and intuitive: Psychics receive information spontaneously and often do not know what to do with the insight or don't trust it at all. Intuitives gain insight at will, having a process that allows them to decipher the messages received. With practice and repetition, they learn to trust the information to support themselves and others. Through this course, students become intuitive. Students of this course will acknowledge and use their natural gifts to appreciate how crystals communicate with them. Students will learn how to intuitively and effectively select crystals for personal use while strengthening their intuition in a very unique way: activated palm chakras. Upon palm-chakra activation, readers will embark on the empowering experience of creating a visceral relationship with crystals. They will experience the most overlooked aspect of crystals: how each crystal system reacts with their personal energy and how crystals communicate with them. They may also be shocked to discover why they are attracted to some crystals or how their crystal communication session revealed information that contradicts a classic crystal definition that they were aware of deep down.
MT: Most people have a preconceived idea about what particular crystals are good for. An example is that most people believe pink quartz is for loving and healing energy or that quartz crystals are for energizing. You teach differently. Tell my readers about this.
GS: I invite the participants of this course to move away from book knowledge to personal knowledge. My favorite expression is "Wisdom is a rumor until it lives in the body." Often, learning from authors lead us to not ask questions and, more often than not, take the author's word for granted.
All matter, including humans and crystals, vibrate at varying vibrational frequencies. Frequency is determined by how "frequent" an energy wave comes by, telling us how much energy is being conveyed. As human beings, we are a collection of vibrational frequencies. Our organs operate at varying frequencies: Our heart has one frequency, our brains another, our liver another -- and this just reflects the frequencies in our physical bodies! When you add our energy bodies (including our chakras and auric field), we bring in the aspects of us that cannot be measured but have still been validated scientifically. Crystals, however, have a single dominant frequency. We are each energetically unique. I encourage students to become their own crystal authority. What is good for me, may not be good for you in the same way. As humans, we are fluid -- nothing stays constant. As we change and grow, our crystal-needs shift. Crystal energy does not change. Their specific molecular structure is stable and dominant. As humans, we entrain to the stability of crystal energy, and that is how they support us.
MT: Gina, please share with my readers your own journey of working with crystals.
GS: Since childhood I have always been attracted to the natural beauty and luster of crystals. I still have crystals that I found on the beach as a child! I constantly read a variety of books and resources hoping to gain a clearer understanding of crystal energy. After much research, I realize that the resources that were available were contradicting and confusing. For example, one "authority" suggested placing rose quartz by your computer to avoid electromagnetic pollution, but this information didn't sit right with me. Quartz comes from a crystal system that amplifies energy, so rose quartz by my computer would do more harm than good! My experiences with crystals often differed from popular belief. When it occurred to me to intentionally "tap into" my crystals to get insight, I knew I would receive information directly from the crystal regarding how it would help me. From this point, the information I received from crystals was crystal clear (pardon the pun!). This felt more authentic than memorizing someone else's words of wisdom. When I realized my approach was unique, I wanted to offer the option for crystal lovers to create their own experience. There is no need to rely solely on any resource, despite how popular it may be, without accessing your own intuition for personal insight.
MT: What are some ways that students can be supported in their lives with the use of crystals?
GS: I love this question! You can do so many things with the support of crystals. I personally find crystal gridding an effective and creative way to use crystals to cocreate your desires with the universe. You can also strategically place crystals throughout your home to enhance the environment. For example, if you have a certain room where there is often tension or fighting, the area can be energetically cleansed. The placement of certain crystals can help shift the energy and keep it cleaner. Crystals are beautiful divination tools, helping you uncover hidden insight so you can help yourself and others. Also, crystals can support emotional and physical health. They can be combined with allopathic methods for increased efficacy.
MT: How will a student be changed by the end of this course?
GS: In only 21 lessons, readers will quickly and easily discover why they have been drawn to crystals. They will access an empowered approach to crystal communication, which will heighten their sensitivity to crystals. I will also share some of my favorite crystal magickal techniques, including crystal gridding, crystal healing, crystal divination, and space enhancement. Readers will be able to layer the insight they have gained in the past with their own intuitive guidance and become their own crystal authority.
MT: Comments for nonbelievers?
GS: For those who are not into the "magick" of crystals, I invite them to explore the science. Throughout time, sacred geometry has been recognized as a powerful energetic resource. Each crystal system has its own geometric molecular structure, which comes with its own energetic properties. The geometry used in the design of religious structures (like churches, temples, mosques, tabernacles, etc.) is considered sacred. The concept also applies to sacred spaces such as temenoi, sacred groves, village greens, as well as certain pieces of religious art.
These shapes have specific energies that support a variety of things, including peace, growth, health, protection, and more. I would encourage people to explore the power of shapes, then dive into the scientific exploration of the human energy body. This would be the perfect logical foundation!
