3 asks, then it's the weekend

Happy Friday, folks. I'll lead you into a well-deserved weekend with a few last requests for your brain space:

  1. As we face down the end of one calendar year and look toward the start of the next, I'm wondering: What's a professional skill you hope to develop in 2022? Seriously, I want to hear from you, for a story I'm working on. "Skill" doesn't need to be technical, though I welcome responses like "learn Python." You might aim to become a more resilient manager (in which case, tell me what that means) or to set better work-life boundaries ("do less" is quite valid). We all have something we want to get better at. What's yours? Reply to this email to share.
  2. Technical.ly is always looking for guest posts from experts and enthusiasts alike. Want to share your insight on industry trends, entrepreneurship or the local tech community? Find some guidelines here.
  3. The winners of the 2021 Technical.ly Awards will be announced live on our public Slack next Wednesday, Dec. 15. Join the Slack here to congratulate them in real time, then stick around to virtually meet folks from all of Technical.ly's markets.

Have thoughts on the first Q? Reply to this email or send a note to philly@technical.ly and we may use it in a story. Or share whatever else you'd like to see us cover. Our inboxes are always open.
