Dear Voornaam, At Cancer Research UK, we fund over £400m of world-class cancer research each year. But we know our world-leading research is not progressing quickly enough from the lab to patients. I’m thrilled to announce that from today, we’re uniting all our drug discovery and commercialisation activity into one powerful innovation engine – Cancer Research Horizons. We’ll harness the full potential of the exciting cancer research happening globally by working together with the brightest minds, boldest ideas, and best partners, to translate cutting-edge innovations into tools, tests and treatments for cancer patients. An integral part of Cancer Research Horizons is our exciting and ambitious approach to driving therapeutic innovation. We’re uniting the strengths of our established drug discovery engines, our network of world-class biology researchers, ground-breaking technology platforms and clinical expertise. The new organisation will be home to over 200 drug discovery scientists and will use cutting-edge capabilities to tackle the biggest challenges in discovering cancer drugs. We're here to help you unlock the clinical and commercial potential of your research. There are many ways we can support you to develop your most promising projects – discover more below. I’m excited to see the translation of innovative science into effective treatments and diagnostics and I look forward to working with you. Follow Cancer Research Horizons on Twitter and LinkedIn to keep up to date on our latest developments.
