National Center for Missing & Exploited Children
"I grew up in a family that said “If Adam’s song is to continue, then we must do the singing.” And, so we do that every day here at the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children in his honor."
- Callahan Walsh, Adam's Brother and Executive Director of NCMEC

Adam WalshOn July 27, 1981 - 42 years ago today - My brother Adam was abducted from a Florida department store and tragically murdered at just 6 years old.

In the wake of my brother's death, my parents John and Revé Walsh realized there were so many other children and families who needed help. Along with other child advocates, they co-founded the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) as a private, non-profit organization to serve as the national resource center for information about missing and exploited children.

Since NCMEC's founding in 1984, Adam's legacy has gone on to touch the lives of countless families. Over the last 39 years, we've assisted law enforcement in the recovery of more than 400,000 missing children.

Each year on the anniversary of his disappearance, we continue to remember Adam by sharing his story, and honor my parents wishes for NCMEC to turn tragedy into hope by helping as many families as we possibly can.

Please help me honor Adam today by taking the time to view and share photos of missing children and by making a donation to support NCMEC in our continued effort to bring kids home safely.

Sincerely,
Callahan Walsh
Executive Director, National Center for Missing & Exploited Children
