I see them as a gift of highest order. ~Trisha McCagh It's long been thought that cats possess the power of intuition, though I wasn't sure I believed that until we had Baber. Baber was a little puffball of a Calico kitten who barely had her eyes open when my mother found her in a field. She was a lovable but very quiet cat, rarely making any noise at all. When she would go into heat, she would retreat to the dark corners of the basement and yowl alone. She would only return to the family when it was over. If one of us was sick, she would come and sit on the person's chest nearly face-to-face and stare. Every single time we sniffled, she would send out a weird, muffled, concerned kind of purr!
