Dear Friend, The biotech sector tends to have its problems. Unlike the tech giants such as Apple or Google, for many investors, biotech is just too scientific and bone-dry a subject to bother with. With one exception: the aging and life extension field, which is a subsector of biotech and has been firing up the imagination of longevity seekers and investors alike. For this reason, our biotech panel at the SIC is something you don’t want to miss (and thankfully, with your Virtual Pass, you don’t have to). It shouldn’t surprise anyone that Baby Boomers like me make up the greatest swath of followers of this area of research. From a certain age on, whenever you look in the mirror (especially in the early morning), your own mortality stares right back at you. No one wants to die. Everyone wants to live a long and healthy life. And my generation is famous—some would say notorious—for usually getting what it wants. I am delighted to have my good friend and self-made UK billionaire Jim Mellon on the SIC biotech panel because he is one of today’s paragons of longevity investing. Jim has a long track record of finding and profiting from the most promising investment sectors... and in recent years, he has been going all-in on life extension research. So much so that in 2017, he co-founded the private company Juvenescence Limited, which is bound to create or invest in companies that develop therapeutics “with the possibility of slowing, halting, or potentially reversing elements of aging.” Yes, you read that correctly. Even though most people aren’t aware of it, biotech is now so far advanced that age reversal—in other words, the ability to turn our biological clocks back to our strapping 25- or 30-year-old selves—is becoming not just possible but probable. The company’s latest venture is its subsidiary Juvenescence AI, a drug development and artificial intelligence business that focuses on aging and age-related diseases. The team hopes to speed up drug discovery and approval with the help of advanced AI, which I think is very smart. If you’re my age (or getting there), trust me, you will want to hear what Jim Mellon has to say. He will be joined by two more panelists: Cleveland Clinic’s Chief Wellness Officer Dr. Mike Roizen, author of multiple best-selling books and my personal physician, and my good friend and colleague Patrick Cox, editor of the Transformational Technology Alert. If you get your Virtual Pass today, you not only get to hear their discussion—you’ll also prudently save 50% off the price we’ll charge after the SIC is over.
