What are investors and collectors REALLY putting their money on? The past couple weeks we have acquired two extraordinary Harry Houdini Live Performance show programs. Both programs came from Live shows in Chicago and Boston in 1926. The year of Houdini’s untimely death. . . While I was researching to post the latest acquisition on cvtreasures.com, I discovered some particularly exciting photos for in particular the Shubert Princess Theatre Chicago show. But, what I found most captivating is an article from 2014 that discuses a 1999 interview with a Witness to Houdini’s Live performance in Boston on September 12, 1926, just a month before Houdini died. Just to read about someone discuss what they recall about a live Houdini experience is quite enthralling. . I said many times before, as a collector of rare historical artifacts and memorabilia, sometimes the story behind it, can be more exciting then the piece itself !
