Good morning, Marketer, what’s the connection between a hybrid event experience and augmented reality? They both can mean a lot of things, with almost limitless marketing applications. But think of it this way – hybrid plugs a remote attendee into an in-person event, while augmented reality adds a digital layer on top of a real-world experience. They are both engaging in a multipronged reality. It’s just that for a hybrid event, the digital user is remote. For augmented reality, the user is on-site. Moving forward, experiences should optimize for both users. Chris Wood, Editor |
