| In the beginning we were free surfers. Today we are changemakers. We are ocean lovers and activists. We are the engaged, the conscious, the responsible, the passionate. We are the optimists who fight to protect what we love. For three decades our community has been working to preserve our coastlines, keep our beaches clean and oceans healthy. The values that laid the groundwork for our organization in 1990 remain at the core of who we are today and continue to influence our current actions, but our community has evolved since then. To illustrate this, we’ve taken our original emblem and adapted it to reflect who we are today – an authenthic, diverse and vibrant grassroots network of ocean enthusiasts, artists, athletes, experts, students and teachers stretching from the city to the shoreline and beyond. Today we represent the next generation of Surfrider Europe working towards better behaviors for a better ocean, together #WeareSurfriderEurope. |
