Got a spare minute? Use it to change your life. Our “A Minute And Change” series will help you become happier, healthier and more productive by doing one thing a little differently. This week’s tip comes from Peloton instructor Kendall Toole on the type of content she refuses to consume or produce on social media to protect her mental health. She told me: ‘What I Eat In A Day’ videos need to go. It doesn’t allow for nuance. You’re not seeing what someone eats in a week, a month or over the course of a year … we need to make sure we acknowledge the power of the platforms we’re using. Everyone’s body is different and there are different caloric needs. It’s very personal, and it’s empowering when you recognize that. What works for one person is not going to work for everyone else. It’s not one-size-fits-all. |
