'The water is brown': Hundreds of Louisiana's water systems are in dire need of fixes, and a $750 million infusion in federal funds hasn't put much of a dent in the problem. Sam Karlin has this look at what officials are doing to address what they're calling a "ticking time bomb," and the difficult decisions that may lie ahead.
Opioid settlement: Louisiana is set to receive roughly $600 million in opioid settlement funds by 2038. But, as Emily Woodruff reports, an audit released Monday found that the money isn’t being spent or tracked, and recipients aren't sure how to use it.
Not so dinky: Jefferson Parish is now home to what officials say is the largest public pickleball complex in the region. Lara Nicholson reports that officials are using an interesting strategy to ensure everyone gets a chance to play.
