The week ahead
We open the week with live coverage on Monday night, featuring Brighton v Liverpool in the Premier League (8pm, all times BST). Into Tuesday and Kevin De Bruyne bids farewell to Manchester City fans as they host Bournemouth (8pm).

Wednesday's lineup includes England Women opening their cricket summer at home to West Indies in the first T20 (6.30pm). And then all eyes will be on Bilbao for the Europa League final between Tottenham and Manchester United (8pm).

England Men tackle Zimbabwe in the first Test of the summer, the first day of five starting on Thursday (11am). There's also the second women's T20 on Friday (6.35pm) and day one of the latest County Championship action (11am).

And then it's another huge weekend, starting on Saturday with the Championship playoff final at Wembley from 3pm between Sheffield United and Sunderland. Then our focus switches to Lisbon and the Women's Champions League final, as Arsenal tackle the might of Barcelona (5pm). It's also the Champions Cup final between Northampton and Bordeaux-Bègles (2.45pm), plus Monaco Grand Prix qualifying (3pm).

Not only does the French Open get under way on Sunday (10am), but it's also the final day of the Premier League. Follow all the action as it happens from 4pm. And the glamour in Monte Carlo will doubtless be on show for the F1 GP there: we'll have lap-by-lap coverage from 2pm.

Your support powers independent journalism

Over the 200 years we’ve been reporting, the free press has faced many great challenges but now, in 2025, it is up against threats of a new kind. As billionaires, authoritarians and big tech seize more control of the information we consume, the Guardian’s unbowed, independent journalism needs your support.

Help power the Guardian’s journalism at a time when misinformation is rife online and good news can be hard to find. If you can, please consider supporting us today. It only takes a minute, and makes a big difference. Thank you.
