Weapons deliveries are being slowed due to a lack of skilled employees even as affects from the coronavirus pandemic recede, defense leaders say. Americans' actual, planned retirement ages increasing The average retirement age of Americans has increased from 57 in 1991 to 61 this year, and the planned retirement age has increased from 60 in 1995 to 66 today, according to Gallup's annual Economy and Personal Finance survey.
