The Spirit of Restorative Justice Sujatha Baliga serves as the Executive Director of the Restorative Justice Project at Impact Justice, in Alameda County, California. Her background as a survivor of childhood sexual abuse, criminal law attorney, and meditator inform her critical and revolutionary work in restorative justice today. Following a life-changing encounter with His Holiness the Dalai Lama who advised her to meditate and contemplate how she viewed her enemies, Baliga began a mindfulness meditation practice, which led her eventually to forgive her abuser, and then to become one of the leading voices and practitioners of Restorative Justice.
