It was billed as mostly student housing with unmatched amenities and nearly 200 units that would rent by the room instead of the unit. But the owner quietly offered it to a lender in lieu of its $36.5 million debt in 2023. But it wasn't until a few weeks ago that the property sold and the owners' issues with the property came to light. It includes over a dozen liens and multiple lawsuits over unpaid bills.
