The UK's weirdest walks

Good evening. Weird Walk is a cult zine created by three (anonymous) friends who are fascinated with ancient places and love to share their passion and routes to some of the most mysterious sites in the UK. In our article we choose three weird walks featured in their new book - perfect for this shadowy time of year. In Dartmoor, Fenworthy Forest is an atmospheric location, the “dark evergreens offer up an entrance out of a Grimm’s tale”, with little-known stone circles to discover. Tigh nam Bodach, a pagan shrine in Perth and Kinross in Scotland, is one of Britain’s most enigmatic and isolated ritual sites, while Trellech in Wales offers pagan stones, sacred springs and plenty of folklore. Comedian Stewart Lee penned an introduction to the book and talks of his childhood obsession and hunt for ancient sites.
