Ohio State student from Strongsville killed in apparent murder-suicide: An Ohio State University student from Strongsville was found dead early Sunday in a Columbus apartment following an apparent murder-suicide, according to multiple reports. Heather Campbell, 22, and Kyle Lafferty, 25, were found dead about 2:30 a.m. at an apartment in the Taylor House apartment complex near the intersection of Olentangy River and Bethel roads. Lafferty was believed to be Campbell's boyfriend. Campbell was a psychology major at the university, according to a statement from school. Read more. Ohio House considers overriding John Kasich’s Medicaid expansion veto: The Ohio House is again weighing an override of Republican Gov. John Kasich's veto protecting Medicaid expansion after scrapping the idea in July. A memo circulating among House Republicans said GOP Speaker Cliff Rosenberger "would just like to see" where his caucus members stand now that efforts to repeal the federal health care law in Washington appear stalled. Kasich vetoed a budget provision June 30 that called for freezing new Medicaid expansion enrollment starting July 1, 2018, and preventing those who drop off the program from re-enrolling. Read more. College of Wooster football player dies following game: A College of Wooster football player died Sunday after he was taken to the hospital following the school's game against Ohio Wesleyan University. Clayton Geib, 21, of London, Ohio, complained that he wasn't feeling well after the game, prompting the hospital trip, College of Wooster spokesman Hugh Howard said in a news release. He died at Wooster Community Hospital Sunday afternoon. Geib's cause of death has not been publicly released. Read more.
