Shabbat Shalom from The Forward,

The news from Monsey, New York, shocked all of us this week.  And in the wake of the machete attack we've been dedicating much of our coverage to the aftermath.  Avital Chizhik-Goldschmidt spent the day after the attack in the "modern day shtetl" and filed a powerful report.  The rise in anti-Semitic attacks has many in the Orthodox community considering arming themselves, Molly Boigon takes a look at the growing trend.  And on a lighter note, we have a wonderful profile by Irene Connelly on a feminist artist who's bringing Talmud to Instagram.  All of this and more in this week's edition.
