Greenville Health Authority awards more than $20M in grants

The Greenville Health Authority Board of Trustees awarded 15 new grants through its Healthy Greenville program with a unanimous vote on Wednesday, bringing the total of its community health-focused grants to more than $20 million since the program launched four years ago.

Boeing could consolidate 787 operations

Company CEO David Calhoun said Boeing is considering consolidating Dreamliner manufacturing into one location, which could signal closing North Charleston, moving all operations to North Charleston or a third option.

USDA identifies 14 species in unsolicited seed packages

The S.C. Department of Agriculture and Clemson University are investigating instances of S.C. residents receiving unsolicited seed packages. The U.S Department of Agriculture said the seeds may be part of a "brushing" scam.

Theaters to open, masks enforced in government buildings

Movie theaters, sports arenas and concert venues in South Carolina will be allowed to open on Aug. 3, while face coverings will become mandatory in S.C. government buildings on Aug. 5.
