Put in simple terms, it shows how much traders expect stocks to go up or down over the next 30 days. When things start to look crazy in the markets, the VIX goes up. The long-term average is roughly 19. But when the VIX goes crazy, the more opportunities we start to see. Like when the VIX hit 82 during COVID, that was the highest reading in history. Bigger than 9/11. Bigger than the '08 crash. Traders were predicting complete chaos in the markets. And they were right. The S&P dropped more than 30%. Most people felt sick. Knowing How to Use This Strategy Because we don’t need a crash to make money from it. All we need is movement. In either direction. And we use a very straightforward options trading strategy to profit. I can understand why people think options are overly risky, complicated… and maybe even dangerous. But what I’m about to show you is something completely different, and it could change your whole financial future. First off, buying options is actually really easy. These days, brokerage apps have made it so simple. It’s as easy as buying a stock. You don’t need trading experience, or special software, or anything fancy to do this. You don’t need to be an accredited investor. Because when you trade options the right way, they reduce your risk. Not increase it. You’ll notice how the stock’s price line was way below its 50-day moving average trendline (blue line) over that time. It was clear to me the stock was oversold and ready to snap higher.
