Leyland boy injured in hit-and-run

A 12-year-old boy has been injured in a hit and run whilst riding his bike in Leyland.

The boy was struck at the mini-roundabout next to the train station, between Station Brow and Moss Lane, at 7.45pm last night.

The driver of the car - believed to be a black Ford - reportedly drove away without stopping, leaving the boy injured in the road.

Latest Covid jab numbers

The latest figures from NHS England have revealed how many people have been vaccinated across Preston.

So far, more than 49,000 people have receive their first jab.
