A Message From the Editor Noncompete agreements, which have taken on great significance in recent years as we have started to see a resurgence of labor, were thrown into turmoil earlier this year when the FTC announce a ban on the practice. The litigation that intensified in the wake of that announcement shows no signs of stopping after a Pennsylvania judge recently decided against blocking the new rule - a conclusion that differs greatly from the conclusion a Texas judge came to over similar issues just three weeks ago. Our first story today examines the rulings and their potential ramifications. Also, a federal judge has declined to toss out a lawsuit against the defunct Schnader Harrison law firm over allegedly misappropriated comp benefits.
