The U.S. Supreme Court’s 1973 decision in Roe v. Wade that legalized abortion nationwide was nonsensical. It had no basis in the Constitution.
And its impact has been deadly for children in the womb and disastrous for our system of government.
More than 60 million unborn children have lost their lives to abortion. Roe has upended America’s political and judicial systems for decades now.
Even the late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, a staunch abortion advocate, called Roe an “unnecessary” decision. In her view, it was a “heavy-handed judicial intervention” that wrongly “halted a political process.”
Roe v. Wade placed our judicial system at odds with the desire of many Americans to protect life.
But now, there’s a case—Dobbs. v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization—before the Court that could overturn Roe and return the issue of abortion back to the states. And you can help protect life!
At the center of the case is Mississippi’s Gestational Age Act, which protects the health of pregnant mothers and the dignity of unborn children by limiting abortions after 15 weeks. Most Americans support laws like Mississippi’s. It upholds America’s foundational respect for life.
Roe v. Wade made the U.S. an extreme outlier in abortion law and policy. In fact, the U.S. is one of only four nations in the world that permits abortion-on-demand throughout all 9 months of pregnancy.
Who does that put the U.S. in company with? China and North Korea.
