WHY IS BNB CHAIN POPPIN’ OFF 📈

Chevy is off at Permissionless (probably convincing some poor guy to go all in on $SOL).  

So while he’s distracted, we’re taking this chance to talk about a chain he rarely touches: BNB Chain.

And right now? It’s got one of the wildest charts in crypto 👇

BNB Chain has seen an absolute explosion in trading volume over the past month, leaving all other chains behind. 

Since the start of the year, its market share has skyrocketed from ~10% to nearly 70%.

That’s insane growth. 

But here’s the catch: it’s only trading volume that’s up. Other metrics (like total value locked and app revenue) are mostly flat.

Even $BNB’s token price has been pretty flat, down 3.2% in the last 30 days. 

The initial spike in trading volume did give $BNB’s price a little boost, but it’s been sliding back down since.

This can mean one of two things:

Turns out it was the latter. 👇

PancakeSwap, the biggest DEX on BNB Chain (and a regular on our top revenue generators), is seeing a massive spike in trading volume thanks to a month-long incentive program.

To be clear, we have no problems with incentives. They’re a legit way to attract users and spark activity.

But the real test? What happens when the rewards dry up.

We’ll be checking back in July to see if PancakeSwap (and BNB Chain) kept the momentum going or…

if it was just a temporary sugar rush.

NEW CRYPTO NINJA APP JUST DROPPED 🥷

If you’ve read this newsletter for long enough, you’ll know we’re huge fans of what you might call ‘crypto ninja apps’.

They’re the kind of applications that onboard people into the world of crypto & Web3, without them even realizing it.

Markets were pretty shaky again, mostly because of the Iran-Israel conflict. Things got tense for a bit, and that definitely rattled investors.

But on June 23, President Trump announced that Iran and Israel had agreed to a ceasefire, starting that same evening. Unsurprisingly, markets jumped on the news — a strong move to the upside across the board.

Hopefully the worst is behind us now, and there won’t be any more fires in that area. If that’s true, the markets might finally take off. 🥳
