Register here to be part of the discussion!
Since the beginning of 2010s, there are ideas and initiatives of private and community based basic income systems. For example, charity organization Give Direct is paying out monthly basic income to individuals in Kenya via private donations.
Another trend is that certain cryptocurrencies, meaning virtual currencies without backing from governments and central-banks, have been created with some type of basic income system. One such example is Manna Base, a project aiming for creating a decentralized and community based basic income system for every human on Earth.
The current decentralization trend with cryptocurrencies are seen as a vital part of such development is thereby enabling new possibilities and institutions. During the upcoming webinar, participants will discuss the possibility to introduce a global basic income as well as community-based systems at different levels.
