CAM Spotlight:

Warm Up this Winter at CAM!

CAM's Reflecting Pond during the

2022 Floating Lantern Ceremony

It's going to be a very busy winter season at Cameron Art Museum.

We kick off 2023 with our Floating Lanterns Ceremony this Sunday, January 8. This annual event is a wonderful way to honor a loved one or to set an intention for the year ahead. This is a CAM Community Day with FREE admission to the museum and event!

The following Saturday & Sunday January 14 & 15 we honor Dr. Martin Luther King's iconic "I Have a Dream" speech with our annual Peace Flag Weekend. The community is invited to take inspiration from the speech and create a Peace Flag that will be installed around CAM's Reflection Pond.

Saturday, January 14 is also the opening of Black Lives Do Matter at CAM. Cameron Art Museum has partnered with the arts collective Eighteen Forward to present an eighteen-letter installation displayed on the museum grounds. The public is encouraged to view these eight-foot-high letters as they meander through CAM’s outdoor space.

Black Lives Do Matter at CAM joins the museum’s other outdoor works, including the recently opened PNC USCT Park featuring the Stephen Hayes designed sculpture Boundless, activating the museum's 9.4-acre grounds.

Saturday, January 14 is another CAM Community Day. Museum admission is FREE all day!
