Get ready for an electrifying noche as The Dominican Jazz Project brings their bold, rhythmic sound to CAM! 🌎🎷 This world-class ensemble fuses contemporary jazz with the rich musical traditions of the Dominican Republic and the U.S., delivering an immersive and dynamic performance.
What began as a collaboration at the Jazzomania Jazz Festival has grown into a project that blends contemporary jazz with the rhythmic traditions of the Dominican Republic. Featuring Sandy Gabriel (saxophone), Mayquel González (trumpet), Carlos Luis (guitar/voice), Stephen Anderson (piano), Ramón Vázquez (bass), Guy Frómeta (drums), and David Almengod (percussion/voice), this performance promises intricate melodías, masterful improvisation, and seamless musical conversación between cultures.

Elisabeth Chant
Elisabeth Chant (February 7, 2025 – April 27, 2025) North Carolina artist Elisabeth Chant (1865-1947) made an indelible mark on Wilmington’s art community. She became known for her vibrant landscapes and scenes of the North Carolina coast. Chant also created decorative designs and explored mysticism and spiritual themes, which informed her artistic style. She was instrumental in developing Wilmington’s cultural landscape, founding art classes, mentoring young artists, and establishing a community art association. This exhibition explores the people and landscapes of Chant’s world. |
