Weekend plans? Join us on Saturday for a FREE day of creativity, connection, and learning as we celebrate the many ways the arts can support resiliency in children and families!
Cameron Art Museum, the New Hanover County Resiliency Task Force, and community partners from across our 8-county region come together to offer interactive art activities, performances, and resources that highlight the power of art in building a strong and resilient community.
All activities are designed for all ages and abilities, making this a truly inclusive day of discovery and expression.
EVENT SCHEDULE:
📖 10–11 AM | Storytime and Activity with Super Jane Smith. Reading of Teddy’s Bear Takes a Tumble. 🎭 11–11:30 AM | Turning the Wheel Creative Play Pop-Up Engage in a fun, movement-based experience for all ages!
🖍️ 10 AM – 5 PM | Novant Health Coloring Station Stop by the Novant Health resource table for a fun coloring activity. Kids can also participate in a table activity for a chance to win NH prizes!
⭐ 12 PM | Coastal Horizons Interactive Wellness Skill Workshop
🎨 12–1 PM | Gouache Painting with DREAMS Center for Arts Education Join DREAMS apprentices for a hands-on gouache painting activity..
🖌️ 1–2 PM | Veterans Creative Arts Program Storytelling through writing and art
🎬 2 PM | Film Screening: Mine from the Rise Home Stories and Zine making, character development.
