SATURDAY MUSIC AT CAM Saturday, March 22 beginning at 1:30 PM |
|
Join us this Saturday March 22 for a great day of music and art. Beginning at 1:30 PM, Celebrate art & music with the Spirit of Jazz in NC, an event that begins with a screening of filmmaker Rodrigo Dorfman's documentary One Night in Kernersville, followed by a conversation about the film and a performance by the film's subject musician John Brown and friends.
North Carolina has long been home to legends in both art and music. The Spirit of Jazz honors two of them—Romare Bearden of Charlotte, NC, whose work is featured in Close to Home, and a living legend of jazz, John Brown, the Vice Provost for the Arts at Duke University.
Stay after the performance to see Bearden’s works in person on a tour of Close to Home on the exhibition’s final weekend.
Tickets are $20 per Adult CAM Members; $25 per Adult Not-Yet-Members, $10 for Students. |
