Lana Puckett and Kim Person wrote "Cornstalk Pony" almost 30 years ago in their Yorktown studio. The song found its way to Nashville not long after and was covered by folk singer/songwriter Steve Gillette. With stages closed due to COVID and a little extra time on their hands, Puckett and Person decided to rerecord the track and once again, it found fans in the country music capital again.
