RVers experience Twillingate icebergs and 'bergy bits' Combine fresh air, a beautiful harbor, picturesque ocean views, whales, dolphins and a historic lighthouse and you'll have a perfect day on Newfoundland's Twillingate Islands. Even better - this is considered to be the absolute best place in the world to see massive icebergs.

Campground etiquette - Manners make memorable experiences An RV park is like being in the neighborhood you just left in order to live the dream of RVing. You'll encounter all types of people. So, in the interests of keeping the peace and helping campers get along with each other, here's the list of the most annoying, most aggregating things campers do to annoy others. In addition to viewing the gorgeous cars, you'll have a chance to view movies and videos and enjoy posters showing the evolution of Corvette advertising. We loved the full-size dioramas showing various Corvettes in settings resembling the period in which they were sold.

Mark My Words: Should you check deep-cycle batteries? My RV trailer came with maintenance-free, deep-cycle batteries and a solar panel that charges them when they get low. Can the electrolyte level in the maintenance-free batteries still be checked, or does it even need to be checked?

Kindness is catching I was about to get out and start pushing when the car began to move. I looked in the rearview mirror and spotted two young men behind the car pushing while a third appeared at my window and asked, "Where can we push you?" Even though I stopped periodically to admire the scenery, I made sure to keep a keen eye on the path and follow the stones that marked the way. The stones guided me safely around the worst of the gullies, cacti and rough ground.

(Feb. 29, 2016) - A must have app for RVers is the Allstays Camp and RV app, available for iPhones and Androids. Whether you're a full time RVer or a part time RVer, this app is great for planning your next trip and for when you're on the road. It has saved us money on the road and come in handy for when we plan our next destination. | (March 1, 2016) - Can you live in your RV full-time? The answer is a definite 'yes.' As a matter of fact, next time you pull into your favorite campground, take a look around at some of the sites. When we take on a complicated subject, such as off-the-grid solar applications, we research online, call the manufacturers of the products and take in as much information as we possibly can. | (March 3, 2016) - Here's a skillet cornbread I developed that works out well for a side dish when traveling in your RV or camping. The recipe can be adapted to be vegan friendly and is a natural to compliment grilled/bbq entree's. | (March 3, 2016) - Over a ten year career, photographer and filmmaker Andy Best has documented almost all of his outdoor adventures through his lens. As his skills progressed, his photos began to invoke a "wish I was there" feeling among the people who found them. | (March 2, 2016) - This popular RV snowbirds Arizona State Park is winding down its winter "first and third Saturdays concert series." These are free concerts to all paid campers; or is included in the admission to the park for day-users ($7 per vehicle). |
