Thanks to everyone that helped put the gig on and everyone that looked after us and that we met in Limerick. Such lovely people. It was a joy. There were so many incredible moments in the gig, but for me personally both Open Your Eyes and Shut Your Eyes (I know, we can’t make up our minds) were standout moments. Yous were one of the loudest audiences we’ve played to! Thank you also to our special guests, two fantastic Irish bands, @pillowqueensband and @kingfishrofficial. The latter being not only Irish but in fact native to Limerick so it was a hometown show for them. Both bands are incredible and we hope to see them both along the way in the future. We wish massive good luck, happiness, love and success to both of them on their respective journeys.
A lot of our family members were there last night too and it was so lovely to share the experience with them. In the picture of Nate pointing, he is pointing at his son in the audience. Last night’s show is dedicated to John McDaid Sr. A truly great Irish gentleman, one of the greatest. He did so much for peace in NI and so much to bring communities together, whatever their religions or political beliefs. A man of incredible grace, like his son. Thank you Limerick!
