Technical skill and an eye for composition are of course components of great photography, but there’s a third, elusive ingredient to a heart-stopping image, and that’s simply being in the right place at the right time (with the right equipment). Photo Club member Connie Larson definitely had luck on her side when she encountered this Canada lynx family while snowshoeing near Rossport, Ont. Lynx are notoriously elusive, so to find four of them at once — and in a state of recognizably feline relaxation — is a rare gift. We thank Connie for sharing it with us!
