Sapience Automation establishes Berkeley County facility

Automation and robot integration company Sapience Automation has established operations in Berkeley County with a $500,000 investment that is expected to create 26 jobs. Sapience focuses on the integration of industrial robots for manufacturers, working through automation, optimization and other operations.

Charleston-based software company Engage Talent acquired

Engage Talent, a predictive analytics and artificial intelligence software company based in Charleston, has been acquired by Workforce Logiq, a global provider of workforce management software and services. Engage Talent was a portfolio company of Charleston Angel Partners, an angel group that invests in early stage businesses.

S.C. metro areas see slight growth in construction jobs

In South Carolina, employment gains from September 2018 to September 2019 were minimal in metropolitan areas. Charleston-North Charleston ranked 102nd in percentage growth of jobs with the addition of 1,000 jobs, a gain of 5%.

Fashion Plate

Roller Rabbit, a lifestyle brand founded in 2003, is opening its 13th U.S. brick and mortar store at 163 King St. The new store, which offers a collection of globally inspired clothing, accessories and home goods, opens on Tuesday.
